- Air Quality in Quesnel has been identified as a primary issue for attracting new residents, new industry and retaining current residents.
- The Quesnel Air Quality Roundtable is a multi-Stakeholder Group that:
- Supports the 24 hour/7 day a week air quality monitoring
- Meet once or twice a year to share each of their efforts towards reducing particulate matter in Quesnel and to get the scientific data for the annual air quality results.
- Participates in projects that have the potential to reduce our PM 2.5 such as the 2013/2014 Mobile Monitoring Project, Cariboo Woodstove Exchange, Emissions Clinics, and Air Management Issues
- Continually works on their own operations to decrease PM 10 and 2.5 emissions.
